Historia
Fresh out of jail and eager to start a new life, Chet Moran and his pregnant wife, Trish, leave town to begin again. But an ancient evil is looming, and what seems like a safe haven may not be all it appears. Snared and murdered by a vile, arcane horror, Chet quickly learns that pain and death are not unique to the living. Now the lives and very souls of his wife and unborn child are at stake. To save them, he must journey into the bowels of purgatory in search of a sacred key promised to restore the natural order of life and death.

Let me save you some time and give you the gist of the story. Warning, spoilers ahead: Chet is an incompetent idiot who makes bad decisions. End of story.

Not worth a credit

It wasn't terrible, but not wortha full credit or paying full price for. Much better books for less such as Alcatraz and the Evil Librarians.

Historia
Keras Selyrian is already well on the way to cutting his name into the annals of legend. He’s fought false divinities, thieving sorcerers, and corrupt demigods - and left them defeated in his wake. But he’s a long way from home, and Kaldwyn offers a different brand of danger than he’s used to. He’s already got a sword of unfathomable power, but it’s damaged and leaking world-annihilating mana, so he’s in the market for a new one. Possibly six. The more the better, really.

Historia
Dr. Abby Corman has a bold idea: open a stable doorway between our world and an uninhabited parallel Earth. A new world we can use to mine resources to end poverty, grow enough food to end all hunger, and allow for population growth to end overcrowding. What could be a more noble aspiration for a brilliant young scientist? But the path to hell is paved with good intentions....

Such potential, all wasted
Revisado: 12-04-20
Man this was rough to get through. I'm so tired of scifi authors insisting their protagonist be incompetent cowards. And why he needed to make the female doctor an emotional cry baby just reinforces stereotypes. Add bad narration and this was a failure. But hey, got that Prime marketing in the story.

Historia
Through strange metaphysical circumstances, failed screenwriter Brad Cohen finds himself caught in an infinite time loop, forced to relive the first forty years of his life again and again. Each "repeat," Brad wakes up in the womb on what was supposed to be his fortieth birthday, with full knowledge of what's come before. In various timelines, he becomes a successful political pundit, a game-show champion, a playboy, and a master manipulator of the stock market, but none of them seems to lead him out of his predicament.

Garbage
Revisado: 10-17-19
This story was garbage and the main character was extremely annoying. Content of the book was gross and disturbing. The narrator's voice was horrible to listen to. I listen to dozens of audiobooks a month and this is by far one of the worst.

Historia
For Meredith Gale, ending her life seems like her only choice, and that choice is the reason she’s dangling by her fingertips from a bridge high above the freezing water of the San Francisco Bay. But someone or some thing has other plans for Meredith, and as her fingers slip from the cold steel of the bridge, a disembodied voice asks her a simple question: “Candidate 13: Do you wish to be saved?” Realizing her mistake too late, Meredith screams “Yes!” and instantly finds herself transported to a mysterious island, alongside hundreds of other Candidates like her.

based on the summary and the reviews I had expected a lot more from this book. I won't even comment on the narrator because I don't think any narrator could have saved this book. it was just so boring

Historia
Joseph Bridgeman is back and dreaming of a quiet life. All he wants is to rekindle his relationship with Alexia Finch, get to know his estranged family, and catch up on the last 20 years. Sounds simple enough. But when a mysterious time traveler arrives in his shop, Joe learns his first trip was only the beginning, and this time, the stabilizers are coming off. Flung back to London in the swinging '60s, Joe must save an innocent woman and her son from the clutches of a ruthless gangster.

What happened?
Revisado: 12-23-18
Book 1 was great. Not sure what happened to the author to make such a horrid second book. I couldn't get past the first jump to the 60s, it was that bad. Thee whole Chloe incident was unnecessary and ridiculous. Also, you would think that after the events of the first book Joe would have gained some confidence in life, but no, he is a bumbling idiot in this book. Can't figure anything out, can't improvise, can't understand what is happening even though it's obvious. Can't even enjoy being wealthy or figure out he can jump and do whatever he wants with his life. What an idiot. Why do authors think that idiot protagonists are entertaining?

Historia
Pain, horror, fear - these are the things that have comprised best-selling novelist Lance Metzger's life. His childhood remains a riddled wasteland of abuse by a sadistic father and abandonment by an apathetic mother. In turn his only refuge became his writing. When Lance loses his ability to write and becomes haunted by a nightmare that he'd thought was buried, he is drawn inexplicably to a house on the shores of Lake Superior, where he finds his muse once again - but something is waiting for him when he arrives.

unbearable
Revisado: 07-20-16
made it only an hour into the audiobook. this book was extremely depressing. Morale of this story so far is bully's win, cowards continue to get abused so long as they cower. can't stand to read about people who allow themselves to be abused and do nothing to stop evil.
