So it turns out overthrowing a 14,000-year-old cultivation empire is going to take longer than I expected, but I've made a great start. I've broken through to the Core Realm of my hidden Berserker art, established a new Terran Sect, and even discovered a tribe of lost Terrans out in the wild. There's a whole lot more at stake and even more people to save, but that's all the more reason to free the Earth from the empire's control. Not everyone is thrilled about my progression, however.

A really fun ride

I enjoy a good underdog story. The minor court stuff was too obvious but that's not the story focus. Voice acting was Good. I don't know what more to say but I'm looking forward to the next one.

I appreciate a good revenge story. I wasn't bored once. in fact I had to stop myself from listening too late into the night. Max's choices come off as believable as a person coming into power. That honestly makes me happy and the fact he doesn't bitch out.

A start of something good

For a quick overview it's like fallout with a cowboy build. The story sets a quick pace with a good narration and voices. I won't spoil anything but if you like the fallout universe then this will be Ike coming home.

I got to say I was expecting Basically a fanfic and it kinda was one. while it draws inspiration from an obvious source it does grow into it's own story quickly. The characters are enjoyable but a little flat. I hope they get the development they need because I feel they can become so much more. The story feels like it needed to be longer like the author was trying to fit too much in one telling. That being said I look forward to the next book and the narrator did an amazing job.
