Great ending! Really tied everything together and answered questions I didn't even think to ask, such a well thought out plot and every character's motivations seem driven in a sympathetic way. Got into Will's work after discovering the Cradle series, this is as good as equal in my opinion

The author could be described as a veteran in every sense of the word, even though he was only age 21 when the war ended. Armin Scheiderbauer served as an infantry officer with the 252nd Infantry Division, German army, and saw four years of bitter combat on the Eastern Front, being wounded six times. This is an outstanding personal memoir, written with great thoughtfulness and honesty.

Good story, but the narrator really knew how to drive up the action when it happens. Very interesting to hear a clear firsthand accounts of the eastern front from an officer's perspective. What a crazy time that was, and not even that long ago.

Would Have Been an Amazing Episode!

Masterfully written; the author understands the characters perfectly, but also managed to inject very real tension and suspense.
This is my third of these Firefly books that I've read so far and probably my favorite. The orator is also amazingly talented and captures the voices amazingly well.
More than worth the listen!

I love Benjamin Walker's work, and this lives up to anything else he's done. a heady mix of plausible futurism and thriller aspects, well played by a great cast.
