I'm a die-hard Grady Hendrix fan, but The Blanks felt more like a writing prompt than a finished story. Just when things were ramping up, the story mumbled “never mind” and wandered off.

And Moniqua Plante’s narration? Yikes. Every line was delivered like she was clutching pearls in a bad courtroom drama. It was so overcooked, I half expected the next chapter to be sponsored by stale wine and emotional manipulation.

If Hendrix wrote this as a lark, I hope he had fun — but as a listener, I sure didn’t.

Scott Meyer + Luke Daniels = Magic, so I buy any book that combines the two.
I'm so very sorry to report that That's Not Right was ultimately underwhelming. Perhaps my perspective is somewhat skewed by my love of the Magic 2.0 series and Master of Formalities.
It's almost blasphemous to say this, but I feel I must – Luke Daniels' portrayal of Jack Owens was so over-the-top flamboyant that after four hours, I just couldn't abide the sound and had to turn it off. It was like listening to Comic Sans.

I enjoyed every moment of this book.
The writing was superb. Sophie Amos's performance was outstanding. The story was interesting, engaging, and unique.
I encourage you to read Bunny if you want a great story to immerse yourself in.

I was so looking forward to this book. I pre-ordered it and avidly awaited its arrival in my library.
As it turned out, the book was thoroughly disappointing. It was more a prolix short story than a novel.

I enjoyed listening to The Girl Who Was Taken by Charlie Donlea.
If you're easily distressed by rather intense descriptions of autopsies, then you might not want to chance listening to this book. Otherwise, I highly recommend this intriguing thriller.

I wanted to like this book. The writing was good, but Roger and Dodger became so tiresome that I couldn't care what happened to them. I simply wanted the book to end.
Most of the narration was good, but the Lee character was so aggressively overdone it felt like the reader was vomiting words at me.
Don't waste your time or credit.

While I enjoyed both the first and second books of the Middle Falls series, The Death and Life of Dominick Davidner was a disappointing third installment.
A good bit in the first part was a rehashing of the second book. The rest of the book was meandering and pointless.
That being said, I'm still looking forward to the next book in the series. Here's hoping Mr. Inmon will return to telling an engaging story.

Overall, I enjoyed this audiobook.
The individual stories were engaging and well-paced. Most of all, I liked the structure, the way the DJ's commentary tied everything together.
If not for the abysmal, campy, absurd narration, I would've given Tell Me a Story 5 stars.
