Historia
Scotland, 1812. He's ferocious and rugged to the bone, an English soldier more at home on the battlefield than in any society drawing room. And when Major Gabriel Forrester learns that he has inherited the massive Scottish Highlands title and estate of a distant relation, the last thing he wants to do is give up the intensity of the battlefield for the too-soft indulgences of noble life. But Gabriel Forrester does not shirk his responsibilities, and when he meets striking, raven-eyed lass Fiona Blackstock, his new circumstances abruptly become more intriguing.

Historia
The cold, precise Duke of Montford demands things his way: neatly ordered, in place, and adhering closely to the rules. So he is furious when he learns that the tenant of his ducal estate has been dead for a year, and a stranger has been running the Honeywell business - which, by contract, is now Montford's. When he arrives in Yorkshire to investigate, he discovers that the estate is being run by an unruly, tomboyish woman - and a bluestocking at that!

Fantastic!
Revisado: 06-14-15
I am greatly anticipating Maggie Fenton's next book in hopes this is the start of a series! If you like humor in your historical romances then this is the book for you! I was laughing till tears during the foot and ale race. I never listen to a book more then once ,but this is the exception! Brilliant fun!

Nate Sawyer is a gorgeous player who never commits, but to his close friends, he's as loyal as they come.

Just okay, not great
Revisado: 07-28-14
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Just wanted it to be over, did not like the whole TJ storyline as in keeping his secret therefore not letting Trent in.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Voices of men characters needed to be read better ..narrator hardly changed from female to male voices
Did Beautiful Oblivion inspire you to do anything?
No
