This is my opinion:
I enjoyed this story so much, maybe even more than The Martian!
I tend to like stories with fewer characters more than epic sagas as I can keep track of who's who better. I've read/reading books like Hell Divers, Bobieverse, Expeditionary Force, The World Walker, the classics, etc, and I keep losing track of people. I had no chance with Dune.
The science is the best incorporated in any story before.
