Historia
After facing war, death, unruly gods, and unmitigated evil, Minalan the Spellmonger is forced to return to Farise, the site of his earliest battles, with the simple assignment to conquer the subtropical city-state and expel the pirates that plague the kingdom’s shipping. Tired of warfare, Minalan embarks on a clandestine campaign to do so, assuming an alias and setting up shop in Farise as a mere Practical Adept as cover for his operation. Recruiting a cadre of talented agents to assist, he reluctantly begins the task of infiltrating and observing Farisian society.

A truly masterful series
Revisado: 12-30-24
it is rare that you find an author that can produce quality books of a good length in a timely manner. we all probably have authors that come to mind when we speak of delays in book releases or declines in the quality of the books as the story continues, that isn't the Spellmonger series.
Every book has been engrossing as you learn more and more about the universe in which this book resides and Practical Adept is no exception to the trend of excellence produced by Terry Mancour

The start of a great series.
Revisado: 01-26-22
this book was an excellent addition to cultivation fiction. the characters were well done and the narration was top notch. My only issue with this book is the scale and focus. The entire book focuses on the 2 main charters with minor appearances from others with everything taking place in the same 5 locations. I would have enjoyed a wider cast an greater opportunity to see the wider world. I hope such opportunities happen enough subsequent books and I look forward to them.

Historia
Infinite Worlds is the most popular VRMMORPG on the market. Its maps are so vast, developer Hard Rock Data utilizes a network of highly advanced artificial intelligences to control it. But it’s not without problems. That’s why Game Masters like Jeff Driscoll have jobs. The downside? He’s not allowed to play the game. Something about conflicts of interest and favoritism. His very boring and tedious job is to help players deal with the occasional bug that slips through the cracks and ensure they enjoy their time playing enough to give a five-star rating.

A unique concept
Revisado: 12-30-21
this book offered a unique spin on the LutRPG genre. Considering that LitRPG as a genre is relatively new I didn't realize how predictable the setups had become until I heard this book which blew many of the past expectations out of the water. this book would be worth reading if only got its unique perspective but there is also a good story behind it as well. I definitely recommend this book.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

A great Book!
Revisado: 07-05-21
When reading this book it's neccessary to note that this book started as a web series. Each chapter was expected to be exciting as the story was published one chapter at a time over the course of months and years. Because of the unconventional origin some parts can seem to repeat themselves, as the origional chapter the repeated info was in could have happened months ago for the authors origional readers while only happening a few chapters ago for Audible listeners.
The small drawback of the books origin aside the story is excellent. The story digs deeper into what I imagine a person's true reaction would be if they were really the victim of an Isekaki situation. Can't wait to read the next books in this series.

A story in need of a good editor.
Revisado: 01-12-17
The series had a great general story arc and the world building is nice though lacking a bit in depth. Where this book fails spectacularly is in its side stories. The author is constantly making attempts at intrigue and misdirection in which he either fails spectacularly or he starts an interesting thread and fails to conclude it giving large portions of the story an unfinished feel.
though I eventually purchased all books in the series just to see where the story went I'd have a hard time recommending this book to anyone.
