Historia
It’s summertime on the North Carolina coast and the livin’ is easy. Unless, that is, you’ve just lost your mother to cancer, your sister to her extremist husband, and your husband to his executive assistant. Meet Gray Howard. Right when Gray could use a serious infusion of good karma in her life, she inadvertently gets a stranger, Diana Harrington, fired from her job at the local pharmacy. Diana Harrington’s summer isn’t off to the greatest start either: Hours before losing her job, she broke up with her boyfriend and moved out of their shared house.

Historia
Amid glistening icebergs and chill winds, the Aurelia sails from Newfoundland to Iceland. It's a beautiful setting...for revenge. Patricia and friends are back on the ship with a few new faces alongside the old. It ought to be cause for celebration but the Aurelia is suffering a series of mishaps and the captain, devilishly handsome Alistair Huntley, suspects sabotage is to blame. But who is the saboteur? What would motivate a person to damage a ship in frigid waters and what might that person do next?

Patrica back home!
Revisado: 09-16-24
I really loved this book. It was what I was waiting for; Patrica being back onboard the Auralia and had a sense of familiarity and nostalgia and also fitting for Patricia.
The voice for Captain Alistair Huntley was completely off though and made him sound like an old man; totally contrary to his introductory description in the first book. It was hard to picture him as a handsome, middle aged man in good shape and all I could picture was an old man with white hair and a white beard.
The voices for the security team were also off. I really do not like this narrator for this series. It makes Patrica sound old and snobbish, which she is not.
But overall, the book was very entertaining and kept me captivated

Terrible Narration
Revisado: 08-29-24
To say I was disappointed when I listened to “What Sam Knew” is an understatement. I LOVE the Patricia Fischer Cruise ship mysteries and felt I knew the characters very well. Mary Ann Wells made them all seem like stuck up snobs, and Poor Barbies character like a 14 year old Kardashian idiot. The narrator completely changed their personalities with her snobbish voiceover.
It was terrible. The accents were all wrong, and at some points, I couldn’t understand who was talking because the narrator used the same accent. It truly ruined this story for me. I bought the entire set not realizing this person narrates the whole series. What a bummer!

Terrible Naration
Revisado: 08-22-24
This was not one of my favorites from this series, but I believe the narration is what I disliked the most more so than the story. The narrator did not fill the shoes of Patricia Fischer, and the many voices of the other characters were hard to distinguish because they all sounded the same. The long pauses between sentences made it awkward also and the narrator made Patricia sound snobbish, which is anything but her character.
It’s a shame because the Patricia Fischer series is so good. I wish the same narrator could be used for all the books in the series.
I still absolutely love this series and can’t wait to start the next book!

Historia
When Patricia returned the missing sapphire of Zangrabar, she had no idea the maharaja would consider himself eternally in her debt. Hardly surprising then that she has been invited to his son’s coronation as the new maharaja. There’s intrigue and mystery afoot, though. The Marahaja’s invite suggested he had a mystery for her to solve, but in true Patricia style, it’s nowhere near that simple.

Gripping Suspense
Revisado: 08-12-24
This is by far the best book in the Patrica Fischer mystery series so far. The suspense and non-stop action kept me fully engaged in the storyline . I also love the sense of humor in Patricia’s character, which is very relatable.
I can’t wait to crack open the next in the series!
