淮水で金軍の兀朮が岳家軍と、ほぼ同時に撻懶が梁山泊軍と交戦するが、それぞれ退く形で一旦収束する。兀朮は楊令の遺児・胡土児を養子に迎え、南宋の宰相に復帰した秦桧は漢土の統一を目指し奔走する。

激戦が続き、童貫軍がゆっくりと梁山泊内に進軍した。岳飛は先行して棗強を奪取する。楊令は新たな軍の配置を命じ、呼延灼の軍は息子の呼延凌が引き継いだ。扈三娘軍には花飛麟が援護に入り、劉光世、張俊軍とぶつかり合う。

梁山泊は、国としてのかたちを整えていく。西域への交易路開拓のため、韓成は西夏に遣わされる。楊令自ら護衛する最初の商隊が、西域へと出発した。兀朮らが率いる金軍は、南宋の帝となった趙構を討つために旧宋領への侵攻を続ける。

南北の動乱が終息し、呉用は江南から救出された。金国では阿骨打が亡き後に呉乞買が即位し、国の体制を整えつつある。梁山泊は、制圧した地域を守りながら、来るべき宋禁軍との全面対決に向けて戦力を蓄えていた。候真は、黒騎兵を抜けて新たな任務に就く。
