This is a dark romance story with light BDSM scenes and some borderline kidnapping/captivity. What makes it a bit too unbelievable is things like the handsome self made billionaire not having sex for 364 days out of the year then spends 3/4 of a million dollars for one night...."whaaaaatttt?"

Anyhow, Ryan the super hot and successful billionaire identifies himself as being a sex addict and restrains from having sex as an annual event. He's hired escorts in the past, but this time he is attracted to Laura, a waitress at one of his speaking events. He decides to offer Laura the same options he's offered other professional escorts in the past. Laura has a lot of old medical bills and needs to get out of debt. She decides to take Ryan up on his offer to sign a contract to be his for 24 hours.

Flash forward one year later and neither Ryan or Laura can stop thinking about each other and their lives begin to lead them both down a very different path.....Although the story line was interesting, and there is an HEA, I really enjoyed how Laura is the type of person that looked at things from "a glass half full" otherwise I think this story would have been somewhat depressing.

I really enjoyed the pace and storyline. MMC is a very complex character which brings the story to life.

It's a nice story... a bit hard to believe. Starts off predictable but does change eventually. At times, I hoped the story would move faster. Any story that starts off with the most gorgeous rich guy addicted to sex but makes out once a year... ummm... I don't know what to say to that. That's 364 days without!!! And then, pays $750K for a night. Like I said... hard to believe. The book is hot with light BDSM but I was hoping for hotter!

The story was quite predictable.
The female narrator sounds so robotic. It’s a shame been she has a beautiful voice.
The male narrator was good but he kind of sounded like an older uncle.
Not my favorite by this author.

There is a story here; I’m just not crazy about how it was told. Too little back story early on so the reader could engage in the characters I suppose. Intimate scenes were fun

First book in the series was far superior to this one
