The storyline sounded promising but how in the world did Jennifer and Joelle go from meeting in the morning to passionately kissing in one day? It was very awkward. There was no lead up to it that makes the reader anticipate the encounter. Then, they fall in love with each other with little substance to their relationships development. It was just illogical that the passion that they end up having came pretty much out of nowhere. There is nothing that explains why Joelle falls so deeply in love with Jennifer. There needed to be more depth to both of their stories that led to their relationship. Also, and most importantly, all of the time is spent talking about how gorgeous Joelle but the author doesn’t talk at all about the physical attraction he has for Jennifer. The should have been discussion from Joelle’s perspective about the beauty of Jennifer…how her plus size, black skin attracts him. It reads as though she has a fetish for him but that he doesn’t share the same attention to her physical characteristics and she does his. I found myself wishing for some much more in this story. Also, Jennifer’s fixation with cats and her head butting the stalker was really wierd. If you’re trying to play up her beauty, why would you have her do something as butch as headbut a man. I didn’t like this one.
