Even in Victorian times, Bram Stoker's vampiric masterpiece was considered a lascivious, sex-ridden tale. Nancy Kilpatrick, the mistress of gothic erotic delights, writing here as Amarantha Knight, has refashioned the story to give modern readers the same shocks and thrills that Stoker's novel enjoyed. In Knight's vision, Dracula is a master of the sadistic arts, Lucy and Mina are graduates of a rather severe charm school for young ladies, and even the servants express their deepest desires for the pleasures of the dungeon.
From the realm of legend comes a famous and dreaded seducer and defiler of innocence. His name is Dracula, and no virgin is protected from his unspeakable ravishments. Chills and thrills abound in this wildly sexy spin on one of history's most alluring and awe-inspiring anti-heroes. Blood pounds as he brings his victims to the unholy ecstasy that will make them his forever.

Story: Hmmm. Well, hardly ever if ever is real BDSM portrayed right in books. Real bondage, dominance, submission, masochism, all are supposed to be done for one own’s and one’s partner’s or partners’ mutual pleasure and enjoyment. Yes sometimes one experiences are painful without any pleasure but the subordinate gets pleasure in serving the dominate and never anything they haven’t mutually agreed upon often beforehand.
This book has nothing to do with anything one does in the real world at all unless they are participating in non-safe BDSM. If that is what you are looking for then definitely do not listen to this book. However if you are looking for a book that is almost complete complete fantasy, in terms of the BDSM, than read on.
If you want to read on, the following part of this review of this book’s story assumes that the reader is looking for this type of BDSM extremely non-consensual and consensual violence, basically every kind of sex, sexual position and kink are on display here, in all their smutty glory. Obviously if the listener has picked up this book they are looking for a lot of sexual situations and will be happy how many there are considering the length of the story if they don’t I seriously don’t know why they would select this book. Overall the story sticks very closely with the plot of the original Dracula. There are the same names and general characters, a few extra characters added, just a slight change of splitting the group that goes to Dracula’s castle into two groups. I liked the Jonathan/Mina plot line although it sort of peters out in the end. The other plot line is pretty good and then just ends, really abruptly. We never get to find out what happens to some of the characters, Dracula threatens certain things, does he actually do them? Or does he change his mind? I doubt he would, but who knows. Oh, I did like what happens to Quincy the most.
