Bella has had it with men. Last night, she had a disaster of a date with Eli. He showed her a good time, they had sex and she even stayed over. He wasn't there in the morning, but there was a post-it note on the pillow! That's just not going to happen to her, anymore. She's going to change and be the one in control, the one who calls the shots and the one who says when, how and who with. She's going to channel the man with no feelings and with no heartbreak. Her friend, Maggie, has her doubts, but can see that she's serious and not to be deterred. When she gets a note from a not-so-secret admirer saying he'd like to date her, she has her practice round for Operation Resolution all set to go. Matt seems to be a wonderful man, nice to look at with a nice personality and a gentleman to boot. He is set to pick her up for the date, but she insists on meeting him there. She doesn't give him any chance to get to know her because she changes the subject to sex...having sex! Matt is trying to figure her out, but it's just not working. The way he never gives up on her is both charming and respectable. I started to get so annoyed with her behavior and thought she cannot take it this far! Matt thinks he finally knows what she needs and his thoughts are spot on. He finally sees through her game and knows how to put a stop to it. This was one clear example of the truth to the adage, men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Stay on your own planet!The narration by Ana Storm was delightful. She does a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work, she captures the character’s emotions and projects it into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to.

I loved the storyline of this book. The narrator represents each character beautifully. I would recommend this book to my girlfriends as a good sultry read. Look forward to more books like this from this narrator.

A perfect one evening New Year's eve "without a date or party" escape for lovers of hot contemporary romance, as a secure beautiful 20-something starts a relationship with her trainer....we'll, unless he is critical of your wobbly bits.
