The problem with the future is that it's surprisingly difficult to change.
In this particular branch, my daughter will get executed to establish peace between Earth and the Mirrorrealm.
Why?
Because she's about to start the war between the realms.
In particular, one of the gods of Mirrorrealm travels between worlds in his tower, and he's about to visit Earth.
That wouldn't be much of an event if Lillith, my dearest daughter, wasn't hell-bent on destroying that tower and freeing the souls trapped within.
A noble cause, but with tragic consequences.
I can't let that happen, but Lillith isn't exactly easy to convince.
She's an adult woman, an angel, and one of the rulers of Secret Societies, so I'm about fifteen years too late to be telling her what to do.
But I'm not letting her get herself killed.
Violence is not an option, so I need to persuade her.
Or, alternatively, I need to worm my way to Mirrorrealm and convince the local gods to skip Earth.
The last time my previous self wandered into Mirrorrealm, they killed him.
I will need to do a lot better than that.
Watch me go on my first diplomatic mission.
It surely won't end in a disaster.
