I read this book a long time ago and enjoyed it. But listening to it kicked up my feelings, I love this story. It’s a wild, crazy, and entertaining journey to go on with Liz and Jake. I absolutely loved everything about this book.

Love the characters! I like how the characters all had their own special moments! Dillon disappeared me or at least the acts of his character. Narrator's were awesome not to mention my guy Troy Duran ⚘️

The danger, drama, madness, craziness are very present in this book as well as love, desire, friendship, loyalty. Let’s just say that I want to do wicked things with Jake…

I was pleasantly surprised by this MC Romance. This was a first time listen for me by this author and I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I hope we don't have to wait long.

Troy Duran was a recent find for me and I really have enjoyed the way he gives life to each character. it helps that his voice was made for loving. I would have enjoyed the narrative more had he done the male voice when Peach is talking because Jillian Macie's man voice is not attractive. However Jillian portrays Peach to perfection well the womans voices that is.

I've not listened to many MC Romances. Seriously my personal Audible library of nearly 900 books there are less than ten. I took a chance and I'm glad I did.

worth a credit? Sure it is. Kept me distracted and entertained for hours. Besides what's better than hot sex, love, beautiful men & women and HEA.

Enjoyed the story but needed more substance because there were so many things that could have been elaborated on. The conclusion to their story wrapped up too quickly. Jake had an instant attraction to Liz, thought having sex with Liz would be easy and it was, he was a huge ******, arrogant, immature, and a womanizer. Walking STD! There was drama, angst, attempted rape, rival mc club and cheating.
Liz just graduated from nursing school, instant attraction to Jake even after meeting his crazy ex (who was a one night stand), then goes to his home and he has ow there. Liz talked a good talk but also caved to Jake and never made him grovel. Excessive sexual scenes which seem his way of communicating with Liz. Troy’s voice is absolutely amazing.

I feel this was a very good book until the ending. It felt like the ending was rushed and I wished there would have been more to their story of what's to come next.

Possessive mmc mixed with spice and some drama & suspense makes for a good story. Add in a mc club & it’s the cherry on top!!

I’ll be honest.. we used to live near a motor cycle club bar.. and I’ve never ever seen a good looking guy on a motorcycle 😂 but I guess I should thank the author for making them seem sexy 😅..

With that said, this was an easy listen. Good story line.. romance & smut.. 🔥

Tip: set the female narrators voice to 1.15.. it sounds better.. less like she’s sleepy.

I've heard this story line before.
I'm a woman listening to a MC club story, so. I don't understand the reasoning for having a woman narrate almost 80% of this story.

🩷I recently discovered Betty Shreffler, and I’m so glad I did! As a huge fan of MC romance, Castle of Kings: Book One quickly became one of my top favorites of the past year. The book has it all—intrigue, action, adventure, and, of course, romance. What I loved most was how real the storyline felt, and the characters were so genuine that I could easily imagine knowing them, or even becoming one of them. Betty’s writing style is so natural and authentic, making the dialogue feel completely true to life—like something I’d hear in a conversation with friends. There’s no forced or fake dialogue here; it’s all heart.

Both lead characters are incredibly likable for different reasons. Jake, the alpha male in an MC club, is charming, protective of women, and stands up for what's right, without the typical violent tendencies you might expect. He’s got a tough exterior, but underneath, he’s a good guy. Liv, our heroine, is a strong, no-nonsense woman who is both highly intelligent and capable—having grown up in an MC environment, she’s not afraid to take care of herself. She’s a nurse and fiercely independent. Their chemistry is undeniable, and I couldn’t help but love them both.

Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t enjoy about this book. It’s definitely one of my all-time favorites. The only thing I would have loved more of was a bit more detail in the romance scenes—they felt a little rushed and not as descriptive compared to other books I’ve listened to. I’d love to see more vivid depictions of those moments in Betty’s future works.

A huge shout-out to the incredible narrators, Troy and Jillian! They absolutely nailed it, as always. They’re by far two of my favorite narrators, and their performance made the experience even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to dive into more! AHH! Namaste MC Lovers! 🩷
