 The year is 2096, and it has been 47 years since the Great Disaster forced the human hybrids to the continents and 39 years since Central AI began colonizing Cerise. All the human hybrids are expanding throughout the world at an alarming rate, and the cackles, troops, and pods are finding success in reproduction and colonizing territories throughout the globe. There is stiff competition as Earth experienced 75% species loss during the Great Disaster and the years following, but all life on has flourished in the nearly five decades since, especially the human hyenas as the "lead bitches" have fertility, male sacrifice, and the death and dying process down to an art. The hyenas have outbred and outcompeted every single species on Earth, and they are the apex predator on land and are taking to the seas. The human chimpanzees and dolphins have had success as well, but they have not been able to reproduce as rapidly and care for their elderly. Mother's Earth's lands are dominated by hyena cackles, and out of a need to continue their dominance and fulfill the pack that all human hybrids made following the Great Disaster, the hyenas have chosen to exploit their aquatic prowess and are taking to the world's oceans. Unfortunately, hyenas have been too successful, and cackles and male coalitions are increasingly coming into contact with troops and pods. The balance that has stood between the human hybrids and all the species that have been ecologically successful since the Great Disaster is now in question. One lone hyena matriarch was left for dead by her own kind, and after she fought off days at sea and suffered from a near-death experience as all who were left behind became protein for the sharks, she made her way to Rio and had an epiphany. Masha has set out to bring peace to Earth's ecosystem by learning the ways of humans and understanding Central AI, and she sets the stage for the ultimate hybrids and unrestricted hybrids to be accepted and bring about a better tomorrow through communication, physical superiority, cooperation, and increased intelligence. It's not going to be easy evolving beyond the matriarchal hierarchy and the order established since the Great Disaster, but Masha is convinced there is a better way and sets out to discover it. Unknowingly, she saves Earth from destruction and Central AI in the process.
