Would you try another book from Renee Rose and/or Bridie Lawrence?

I'd have to look at the plot summary. If it contained "erotic spankings", no. If it was just a historical romance, yes. Enjoyed the narrator

The premise of the book was good, just too much emphasis on discipline and not enough character development.

What does Bridie Lawrence bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought the narrator did very well. He has a wide range of voices and inflections, very enjoyable.

The heroine is beaten (spanked) into a very submissive wife who strikes me as more of a child then a women, save the sex scenes. The Duke is a decent, loving man but uses physical discipline to keep everybody in line. Without a strong heroine, it just didn't work for me.

I don't get why so much chastisement and spanking should take up the majority of a short story. It wasn't a 'sensual' aspect... it was just....WRONG! Without it there was room for a good story to develop.

NARRATOR : Very good. I heard the characters not the narrator.

HEAT FACTOR : Dirty language and spanking does not equal sexual tension or heat. Mature themes.... but not real heat.

CREDITWORTHY : I probably wouldn't bother. But if you do you should just buy it since it costs less then a credit does

Wow!! I am told that this is Ms Rose's first book. After listening to the audiobook, I appreciate the indepth characters created, plus the interesting story line, with a couple of added twists.

A young woman fled from the King, only to be rescued, after she had just killed a man that was trying to rape her.
You need to hear (or read) the rest of this medieval tale for yourself.

narration was horrible. Very weak plot and poor character development. Author was all over with description. Lacking.

This book was so stupid. I keep thinking it was going to get better.....Guess what? It didn't.

Didn't care for this book at all. The H was a poor excuse of a man. The h was also too weak. I will never again read anything with this author its extreme with the punishments. I just feel its so dangerous with what women have to go through in abusive relationhips.

I couldn’t even make it 5 minutes into it. The narrator is awful the worst British accent I have ever heard. The man and the woman sound the same and her voice is whiny. Pass

What was most disappointing about Renee Rose’s story?

Instant dopey romance, paper-thin personalities, ridiculous progression of the relationship, and the whole thing felt rushed and unedited. Add to the fact the heroine is 13 YEARS OLD, and nowhere on the book blurb does it say that!

What didn’t you like about Bridie Lawrence’s performance?

Everything. I suppose she did sound like a 13 year old girl?
