I loved the story and the narrator, but if the read requires French, I think the narrator should either speak at least a little, or be able to imitate it AND the accent. His mispronunciation of French words was so very bad that it was distracting. “Voilà” became “Voy-LAY!” The accent sounded more German than French. Very unbelievable. I don’t mean to be high maintenance because he is one of my favorite narrators but the other narrator that reads several other books in this series is clearly a French speaker. He was able to demonstrate the character’s humor and personality.

The story was amazing. This author continues to amaze me with the complexity of her characters and the deep dives she does into very complex and emotional issues. When modern erotica is typically vapid and gratuitous, her books are emotional stories that use erotica to provide context and depth.

Bless the narrator’s heart but…

Intense, emotional, sexy - this trilogy had everything! I love this story! Perfection!!!!

This book touched me personally in an unexpected way. Having been a victim of similar abuse myself I found this book to be rather educational and emotionally gratifying. The love story between two damaged souls, the abusers, the survivors, the messed up families... Nikki did her homework.

Be prepared to get emotionally involved in this series. There were times I would have loved to reach through the pages and punch certain characters, there were times I was laughing out loud. I was truly into this book.

Roberto did a great job narrating! I was able to feel what/how the characters were reacting to each situation. I was able to tell the difference between each character. Well done!

I absolutely loved these stories! I found these stories to be very emotional, intense and full of steam. I think Nikki Sex took a hard topic to approach (Child Abuse) and shed new light on he subject. She really gave the readers information to ponder. I like that you get all the stories in this one book. The narration was superb and gave that extra flair to the story, really kept you entertained. This author did a great job with the character builds and plot. I love this author's style of writing. I have read quite a few books by this author and enjoyed them as well. I can't wait to read more of her books! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This books was very intense. The scenes were very detailed. The characters had great chemistry. They bond over there duel abuse as a children. It’s very hot and heavy. The long problem I had was it very long I had trouble staying focused at times but I’m glad I stayed with it. It was very sexy and erotic.

I really enjoyed listening about Grant's and Renita's stories/ lives of abuse and how they felt with it in their own ways.

Abuse-
Where to start?!?!

Grant- I just want to hug him, though I know that won't go over well. He's been through so much. I want to bundle him up and keep him safe.

Andre- Andre is very passionate, charismatic and also a complete enigma. I have a feeling everyone, I MEAN EVERYONE, falls in love with Andre. Our French therapist almost has an all seeing, all knowing quality about him. I think its impossible not to fall for him.

Renata- Little Mouse is a blooming flower now. She hasn't fully reached her potential. Shes just spreading her petals but even now you can tell she will be breath taking.

Nikki Sex has an incredible knack for a back story. All will be revealed and boy is it disturbing while endearing you to the characters. I may have originally been put off by the multiple POVs but they are necessary, no matter how seemingly random, to complete the full picture.

I'm hesitant to continue because I know things are about to be ugly in the present i stead of just the past but I need to know what happens.



Accuse-
I was so afraid of Grant being accused that I never stopped to consider how I would react. This rollercoaster of joy, elatiin, and growth is shadowed by the trauma and wide reaching dark cloud that is Grant's father.

I can only cling to my hope like Grant that more facts will muddy the waters. Its safe to say Mr. Wilkinson deserved what he got and more...

I just hope our mouse and our monster get their happily ever after.



Avenge-

I feel Avenge(d). Nikki Sex gave me everything I wanted to wrap this series up. I am both happy and sad. I enjoyed how this all unraveled before my eyes.

Everyone who listened/read this book will feel it in the end. I was happy the way Nikki Sex made the world a better place in Avenge but so sad that it is only fiction. Imagine the impact that kind of legislation would have in the real world. (It brought tears to my eyes.)

Avenge is has its own superheroes. You've met most of them theough the course of this series but you aren't done yet. Andre will always be my favorite therapist and the glimpse you get of his story is enough to make any reader tear up.

So much good in this devastating story of Abuse...

I orginally had a hard time connecting to the characters but no longer. Renata, Andre, and Grant will always be friends I can look back on fondly. (My husband is a big fan of Renata! 😉)

I initially received a complimentary copy of the Abuse audiobook and was absolutely enthralled by Grant and Renata's stories, so when I got the chance to listen to and review the entire trilogy, I jumped at the chance. This is an intense story of childhood sexual abuse and its lingering effects. It is a story of healing, overcoming participant guilt, learning to forgive oneself for crimes perpetrated by others, and reaching for a better future. The facts and circumstance are revealed slowly, and you can't help but devour every minute, and every surprise twist and turn, as you wait for the mystery to finally be revealed. I couldn't stop listening, and the ending did not disappoint.

The narration is absolutely incredible. Mr. Scarlato does a fantastic job voicing both male and female characters, including Andre's accent! A++

This a a long audiobook, but i didn't feel that a single minute was unnecessary or wasted. I will definitely listen to this one again and recommend it to others.

Intense Psychological Drama

I had listened to a few other books by this author and I really, really enjoyed them. They were steamy and this one is no exception. This is a tale of hope in my opinion. How a person can be abused, but can recover from it if the right person is helping you along. I would recommend these to any of my friends who enjoy a good naughty romance.

I love these characters and through the story I was so bought into their lives. Sometimes when I like a male character as much as I loved Grant, I will find annoyances with the female character but Renata just kept surprising me with her quite strength and caring nature. I read the first book a couple years ago but it felt fresh and new listening to Roberto Scarlato perform it. He does an amazing job with accents and male/female voices. I never felt lost with who was speaking at any given point. This whole series with Andre is amazing. I love how he is intertwined throughout Nikki Sex’s stories and each time we learn a little more. I can’t say enough about Nikki, she’s definitely one of my favorite authors!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. I’d give the same review even if I had paid for it!
