Through her many years as a trial and business consultant, relationship expert, author and speaker, Noelle C. Cathy Norman, of Sermon on the Molehill (Mindlab Publishing). Dr. Nelson is author of Happy Healthy...Dead: Why What You Think You Know About Aging is Wrong and How to Get It Right (Mindlab Publishing). While doing research for Happy Healthy...Dead, she kept coming across people in their 70s, 80s, 90s, even 100s, who were happy, healthy and thriving. Using Lawyers' Courtroom Techniques To Get Your Way In Everyday Situations (Prentice Hall; paperback Get Your Way). Her experiences as a trial consultant compelled her to write A Winning Case (Prentice Hall) and Connecting With Your Client (American Bar Association) for attorneys. Her books have been endorsed by such authors as John Gray, Dr. Stephen R. Covey and Louise Hay. Dr. Nelson has been interviewed by CBS's "The Early Show," ABC's "The View," Fox News and CNN, and has been interviewed or authored articles in hundreds of other media in the U.S. and abroad including Redbook, Entrepreneur, Inc, Trial, Cosmo, People, Woman's Day, Canadian HR Reporter, HR Magazine, Leadership Excellence, Investor's Business Daily, Los Angeles Times and Family Business Magazine. Her comments on personal relationships are heard once a month on the Hitchedmag.com podcast. Dr. Nelson has spoken at conferences on personal and workplace relationship issues in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia. She consistently receives outstanding marks from audience members. Born in Manhattan to a French mother and an American dad, Dr. Nelson, at the tender age of six months, came to Southern California where she currently resides. Travel is a cherished pastime that Dr. Nelson enjoys whenever her schedule permits. Other interests include voracious reading (mysteries and historical fiction a great favorite), Latin Jazz, and snorkeling wherever warm tropical waters are to be found. Dr. Nelson holds advanced degrees in clinical psychology from the United States International University (M.A., Ph.D.), and sociology degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles (B.A.) and the Sorbonne, Paris (Maitrise, Doctorat 3eme Cycle). She is a licensed clinical psychologist, with memberships in the American Society of Trial Consultants, the American Psychological Association, Psy Chi (National Honors Society in Psychology), and cited as one of the "100 Legal Consultants You Need to Know" in Lawdragon.
