I am a lay member of the Teresian Carmelite Order. I live in England, in a country town. I have a nursing and social work background. The Jewels of Darkness are spiritually inspired insights into God, the soul, Jesus and Mary, the Mother of God. They came before or after prayer or just independently and I just had to write. What came out was so beautiful. People love them. I have recorded an audiobook of the poems in 2023. They sound wonderful. I was asked by a poorly sighted friend what I was going to do for those who cannot see so I decided to record the audiobook, The poems are much better recited, the love, warmth and beauty expressed in them is so gentle and soothing . May those of belief or none find comfort from these poems, may they experience Love as present within their souls giving them strength, healing and courage for their own journey through life. The audio book is on Amazon Audible, also Amazon. I am delighted to say that my revised version of the book, 2025, is now available. It contains some of the comments on the audio book and 1 new poem which completes the journey of the Jewels. I am very pleased , the book is really lovely.
