Larry O’Connor is a radio talk show host on Washington, D.C.’s WMAL, where he hosts the morning drive-time show O’Connor & Company. He also hosts LARRY, a daily, streaming video show and podcast for Townhall Media, reaching several million viewers per month. He has been a regular guest on Fox News and Newsmax and has also been seen on ABC News, PBS Newshour, and MSNBC. Larry is a frequent guest host for nationally syndicated hosts Mark Levin, Dennis Miller, and Hugh Hewitt. Prior to joining Townhall, Larry’s writing has appeared on Hot Air, The Federalist, Washington Free Beacon, IJ Review, and Andrew Breitbart’s trailblazing original websites Big Hollywood, Big Government, and BreitbartTV. While with Andrew Breitbart, O’Connor became a trailblazer himself by creating one of the first live, daily internet radio programs/podcasts, which quickly attracted a large and loyal following. The online program led to his high-profile guest-hosting appearances and, eventually, his current job on WMAL—one of the highest-rated and most influential talk radio stations in America. He was the first online radio host to successfully transition to a major-market radio career. Before radio, Larry was the general manager of the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles, where he oversaw the American premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Blvd., starring Glenn Close. He also worked on major productions, including Ragtime, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Cats, and A Chorus Line. During his theatre career, Larry worked with Sir Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammar, Christine Baranski, Neil Patrick Harris, Adam Lambert, and, regrettably, Val Kilmer. Larry is married to journalist Meredith Dake-O’Connor, and they have four children: Quinn, a UCLA graduate and theatrical stage manager/producer; Veronica, an ensign in the United States Navy and graduate of the Naval Academy; Christian, a sophomore at UCSD; and EJ, a special needs high school junior.
