Born in New York in 1935, Jeb Rosebrook has earned his living as a professional writer since he first was a paid intern as a dramatic television writer at NBC in 1956 in New York. His career includes journalism, advertising , public relations, three published novels and over thirty years of credits in film and television, including one Emmy nomination as co-writer of I Will Fight No More Forever: the story of Chief Joseph and two Writers Guild of America nominations for best television dramas, the two hour The Waltons episode “The Conflict” and his adaptation of the novel, The Prince of Central Park. Film credits include the Sam Peckinpah directed classic, Junior Bonner, starring Steve McQueen and Disney’s iconic sci-fi classic The Black Hole. Television credits for writing and co-writing and producing include numerous television films and mini-series, including Kenny Roger’s The Gambler, The Yellow Rose and The Outsiders. With his son Stuart Rosebrook, he has just published his memoir on the making of Junior Bonner on location in Prescott, Arizona, JUNIOR BONNER: THE MAKING OF A CLASSIC WITH STEVE MCQUEEN AND SAM PECKINPAH IN THE SUMMER OF 1971. He has also just published his first Western, NO MAN'S LAND, co-written with award-winning author Linnell Jeppsen. The novel, based on his original screenplay "Jack Ballard," written for Steven McQueen and Sam Peckinpah in 1973, is volume 1 of the Jack Ballard series. He is also writing the third of his American Trilogy, the first two being Purgatory Road: The Road Between Heaven and Hell in 1951 Arizona, introducing Charlemagne, a deadly Mojave rattlesnake and Forever More: Only the Beginning, when Charlemagne visits 1954 Virginia and meets God, Desegregation and Rock and Roll. “The Conflict” was adapted by Jeb, with Earl Hamner, into a stage play available through Dramatic Publishing , with permission of Earl Hamner and Warner Brothers. Jeb is a graduate of The Orme School of Arizona and Washington & Lee University. His and his wife of 57 years, Dorothy, live in Scottsdale, Arizona.
