Candace Rondeaux has witnessed history unfold from the frontlines of some of the world's most critical flashpoints. A Russian speaker and veteran correspondent, she covered the September 11 attacks for the New York Daily News and was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post team that covered the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre. Her reporting has spanned Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ukraine, and the Caucasus region. Rondeaux currently directs Future Frontlines, a public intelligence service for next generation security and democratic resilience, and the Planetary Politics initiative at New America. She is a professor of practice at Arizona State University's Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies and the Future Security Initiative. Rondeaux holds degrees from Sarah Lawrence College, New York University, and Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
