Andrew Porwancher is a professor of history at Arizona State University. His five books include "The Jewish World of Alexander Hamilton" (Princeton, 2021), winner of the Journal of the American Revolution Book-of-the-Year Award; and "The Devil Himself" (Oxford, 2016), which was adapted for the stage at Dublin's historic Smock Alley Theatre. He previously served as the May Fellow at Harvard, the Garwood Fellow at Princeton, and the Horne Fellow at Oxford. Porwancher's writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post.
