Publisher's summary

Sophie Scaife finally feels like her personal life is on the right track. Her marriage to her devastatingly sadistic billionaire Dom Neil Elwood is as sexually adventurous as ever. Their relationship with their lover, the glamorous and rich El-Mudad ibn Farid ibn Abdel Ati, is growing closer. Even sharing guardianship of Neil's granddaughter with his ex is going smoothly. But a trip to Sophie's hometown leads to a heartbreaking discovery, and she's forced to confront a family she never knew.

When they ask her for a life-changing favor, she must choose between helping them and healing herself - unless she can find a way to do both. While she navigates the unrelenting emotional pressure, long-simmering tensions come to a head in her professional life with dramatic consequences. Reconciling what her heart wants with fears for the future, Sophie must learn to let go of the past and embrace possibilities she never knew were options... Contains mature themes.

amazing story.

this book was amazing I love this couple they've gone through so much and I'm so glad there was another installation to the series, also CJ Bloom does an amazing job playing the different characters I'm not a big fan of females play males but she does an awesome job.

This is it?

Say it's not so! Neil, Sophie & El Moudad wrapped up in a neat bow. This was a nice ending to an adventurous story. Even though there was closure, I wanted their story to continue. As with the previous books in The Boss series, one leaves quite satisfied. Without giving stories away, I would say one of my favorite moments was the dialogue between Sophie and Tony, when he was giving his notice to her. The other was the trip back to Michigan. As I have come to expect, CJ Bloom did not disappoint. She had me believing everyone at all times. I recommend the whole series. I'm now off to read the two supplemental books to this series, that I just found out about! Hope they are audio books as well. The saga continues...

No trauma like the others

This book is definitely the calm after a storm. Yes there is still a bit of drama, but without the trauma the others had and it’s very refreshing. Everything seems to be heading to a positive direction. Their relationship with El Mudad is blossoming, Sophie trying to figure out what to do with her life, Neil being a supportive husband and pulling himself together for his family. I just wish they didn’t have to go through so much trauma to get here.

Moving on

Sophie and Neil, have managed to ground each other and raise Neil's, granddaughter Olivia. Sophie, finds out she has sisters and her and Neil, have continued there relationship with el muda, only now they have decided to move there relationship in the direction of commitment as in...!yes, boyfriend and girlfriend and I love you. Not sure how that is going to play out. I hope this doesn't mean eventually Neil, will want to leave Sophie and have el mudad, for himself. I don't know, this book seemed to be all over the place.

Big disappointment!

The narrator changed the Voice of Neil and Valarie. The story line was boring, and the ending left you not caring what happens to any of the characters. The book was rushed and poorly written. Should have stoped listening at the end of The Baby

Returned this for gratuitous mm content

I really liked this series up to this title. It was sophisticated, took BDSM pretty seriously, and was hot. Of course it suffered from the near universal disease of having a billionaire protagonist, but in our society, this is just a convenient literary device to get around the fact that capitalism doesn't work and so being a billionaire is kind of a magic wand to get around all those mundane problems and go straight to the erotic. It's a cheap trick (pun intended) but lots of books do it, so we give it a pass, for the most part.
However, for no good reason that I could see, this title takes a deep dive into (for me) repellent squick-filled mm content where none of the previous four books has gone there, at least not to nearly this graphic an extent. You can't just skip past it, this content is pretty much built into the storyline and it looks like it will be there going forward in this series.
So here is where I get off.
For those who like this sort of thing (as my music teacher used to say), this is the sort of thing that they like. But not for me.

too much political bias...boarding preaching!

Love this series but don't like the political bias being woven in; almost quit listening 3 times. I listen to fiction to get away from the media and their bias. I don't want to pay money to be preached at.
