Publisher's summary

Born to a noble Breed lineage steeped in exotic ritual and familial duty, vampire warrior Jehan walked away from the luxurious trappings of his upbringing in Morocco to join the Order's command center in Rome. But when a generations-old obligation calls Jehan home, the reluctant desert prince finds himself thrust into an unwanted handfasting with Seraphina, an unwilling beauty who's as determined as he is to resist the antiquated pact between their families. Yet as intent as they are to prove their incompatibility, neither can deny the attraction that ignites between them. And as Jehan and Seraphina fight to resist the calling of their blood, a deadly enemy seeks to end their uneasy truce before it even begins....

Quick novella, excellent series, good narration

Love this series! I’ve enjoyed every book in the series! This one is a novella, so it’s a quick read. I listened to it with the romance audible package, and the narrator did a great job. Since it’s a novella, this book is mainly about the romance between Jehan and Seraphina. There’s still a bit of action, which is one of the things I really enjoy about this series. The romance is passionate and I enjoyed the connection between Jehan and Seraphina. They both resist the attraction they feel, but that doesn’t last long. There’s an arranged mating scenario going on; both don’t want it, but are going through the motions for their families. Entertaining story! Excellent series!

Stroke of Midnight Breed Noella.

A royal family that has been in tribal agreement with another tribe because of war and battle that has held the two different tribes for centuries and decades. Until these two tribes agreed blood bound with two of their breed, the male, and the female breed. In their agreement, they came up with this bond from their children to go into agreements and commit to the ritual and mating ceremony. It is to hold in a private place without any outer interferes or communication. The two couples are to get into knowing each other and coming out from the ritual mated and blood bound together at the end of eight days. They are to commit to each other needs and the bound should be done with full commitment and concept of each other needs and wants must be met and agreed upon. Their needs come first then the family bound follows at the end of the ceremony making their family of the other and keeping the peace between the tribe the legend of the history of both the family of Sanhaja and that of the family of Mafakhir. After the death of the first couple that was the bound paired died on an airplane from a journey, they were returning home when this accident took place. Also, the premise of the story is unique as well. Jehan and Seraphina are bound together by ancients laws and their families. To prevent war from occurring, they must join together in a love match. They have a few ceremonies to do and eight nights to get to know each other and decide if they can go through with this. This idea works very well with a short novella. The time constraint creates that urgency while also upping the stakes a little bit. Surprisingly, Adrian can fit a well-formed romance and some action scenes in here as well. I couldn’t put this down! I enjoyed Jehan and Seraphina. To appease their families and uphold an ancient tradition, Jehan and Seraphina grudgingly agree to follow through with an archaic handfasting. Being left alone for eight days in a secluded exotic villa they are cut off from the outside world, and they realize not only are they sexually attracted to each other (that's putting it mildly), they're also more alike than they originally thought. Both are loyal and committed to duty, Jehan being a warrior for The Order, and Seraphina being a Humanitarian.

Sadly, rather Cheesy

I never have been overly fond of novellas. I actually prefer very long novels. However, I love the midnight breed series and was excited to hear something new, from the series. It starts out ok but, then it seems like the author rushes to end the story.

Worth a credit? not so sure, wait for a sale.
