Publisher's summary
The epic conclusion to the Edge series
What kind of man would die to save his wife?
The only thing that ever stood between me and madness was Greyson. And now, she's in trouble. She's falling into the hole that almost ended me. The only thing standing between her and the fate I escaped is me.
But I have no expertise in this; no knowledge but what she taught me. I'm flying blind here…and every moment that passes brings me closer to losing her.
She says I'm crossing the line, but she can draw a million lines around her, and I'll cross every single one to get to her, even if it destroys me.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Story
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

This series was intense!
This is not just another romantic series. In fact, I couldn't write a review for the other books in the series because I wasn't sure how I felt about them after reading them because they were so intense, but in the end it all came together. I would totally recommend the series and I love the dual narration. CD Reiss is amazingly creative in her story lines and her books. She is now one of my favorite authors.

What an amazing series... so intense.. all the way
The most disappointing part is that I have finished listening to it. What a ride!!! Always intense, gripping and hot as hell. Sure there's lots of sex, actually, I don't think they do anything else together. Not even take a break for a peanut butter sandwich or something. Nope! Just kidding. The love between the two is so deep, involving and endless. The decisions they have to make over and over are so many and extreme. They somehow pull through. Get ready for pain, pleasure and love ... all intertwined into something beautiful.
I love the way CD Reiss writes with so much description and intensity... she is simply an amazing author! Loved the way everything is expressed. Definitely worth the listen. And, with Maxine and Joe, it's like watching a beautiful movie in your head. Their voices take the book to the next level. Perfection!
Do yourself a favor, don't miss out on this series. You'll love it. Enjoy!

Review without giving anything away
Kinky, yes this book has that in spades. Military, the author says she took liberties. If an author says something I BELIEVE IT! ITS THEIR STORY. if up is down I believe it. The angst in this book was great for me. Roller coaster ride for sure.

Intense!
Emotional, Fantastic story line! A little more pain and anal sex than I like but otherwise sizzling sex scenes! Anyone especially with a military, mental health, physicians, or nurses will appreciate the struggles of the characters! So why the for stars, Because after spending $40, For the whole series It's anticlimactic What you, up to the very pinnacle are involved with and are rooting for the main characters. Cheering for them! Angry on their behalf! Ready to go full on Nurse for them! (trust me we can put pressure on docs)And then there's an epilogue that just seems like the writer tried to hurry up and wrap up 4 books in 3 lines. If I had known that it would wrap in such a rushed up, abridged summary style, I wouldn't invested my money. or what precious little off time I have. Very disappointed, the author is obviously talented but, WTF happened?

Performance is still great but finale drags some
This last part of the story has little new. The resolution has little surprise but it’s great to finally get to a HEA. Ronan’s part was a nice irony. Again this should have been 3 books instead of 4 and better edited.

it was intense. good thing they both have their 6 . I love the fact that the author show that everyone can have a trauma that can show at any time. And no one wants PTSD.
