About this listen

When did Mr. Darcy first fall in love with Miss Elizabeth Bennet?

This is a short and steamy Jane Austen fan fiction romantic story about fine eyes, a dirty petticoat, and their effect on a gentleman's ability to reign in his passion. Mr. Darcy reflects upon the bewitching Miss Elizabeth Bennett, his admiration growing ever warmer as he imagines her as his wife.

Note: the following short consists of Mr. Darcy's romantic reflections, randy reveries, and ultimately rapturous release during a night at Netherfield. Ever the proper and considerate gentleman, Mr. Darcy believes in closed doors, but for you, dear reader, the door to his thoughts has been swung fully open. If you don't wish to know what the ardent Mr. Darcy would really like to do with Elizabeth, then please do not purchase this story.

Sexy Musings of Mr. Darcy, Narrator is Wonderful

Emma Hawke's short story Mr. Darcy's Reverie is a creative and sexy journey of Fitzwilliam Darcy's thought process as he muses over his attraction to Elizabeth Bennet.

The story picks up steam as he lauds her charms and realizes what a spitfire she'll be when they're intimate. There's some very romantic and lascivious imagery here, and it fits nicely with the time period. It works well for Mr. Darcy to unravel this way, and I love to think of Elizabeth giving him everything of which he's dreamed...

The narrator, JK Mannion is wonderful. His melodic voice and lovely British accent is perfect for Mr. Darcy. As the story grows more heated, Mannion's voice reflects Darcy's growing arousal. It's easy to see him unraveling as his lust grows while he imagines what a passionate coupling with Elizabeth will be like.

I'll definitely look for audiobooks narrated by Mr. Mannion again - 4 stars for his performance.

Beyond Pride and Prejudice with Mr. Darcy

This book tells the story of just how much Elizabeth Bennett affected Mr. Darcy. Just being in the same room with her causes him to lose his inner sense of control. He always remains the perfect gentleman, except in his thoughts of her. He thinks about her night and day and in many compromising situations. I enjoyed that the book is written in the same sort of prose as the original story of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy was written yet the subject matter is much more modern.
Narration was excellent and fit the story and characters perfectly.

Loved it!!

This is book is tastefully well done. As a fan of Pride and Prejudice I always wished for more romance between Elizabeth and Darcey even if it is just a daydream. The narrator certainly brought the author's sensual vision to fruition while keeping a respectful balance. For a short window in the ever after part of this love story this book is perfect!! Well, that was fun.

...what a lovely dream. You know he's beyond smitten when his desire for her has entered his subconscious to the point where he must turn his dream into their reality.

3 1/2 Stars - For Pride & Prejudice Fans

So I heard Pride and Prejudice and just had to snap this up! This is a collection of moments in time, told from Darcy's perspective. I really enjoyed this imagining of Darcy's private thoughts. What keeps this from being great, in my opinion, is that there was no actual interaction with Elizabeth. I think the story would have benefited from being spun out longer. But it was still enjoyable. And by the end, it really heated up! That final scene, in this narrator's voice... Yummy!

This narrator is new to me and wow, did I enjoy that accent... I think the narrator elevated the story as I doubt I'd have liked it as well, had I read it. I did take it down a star because sometimes the pacing felt a little off (the pauses) but still very good! I'll be looking for more from this narrator.
