About this listen

Her job is to make his life miserable. His job is to make her submit. Whose heart will surrender first?

Across the country, rebellious BDSM submissives are being systematically kidnapped, one from each club. When her friend falls prey to the slavers, FBI victim specialist Gabrielle volunteers to be bait in a club not yet hit: the Shadowlands.

She finds that being a bratty sub comes naturally, especially when she gets to twit the appallingly conservative Master of the trainees. But she soon discovers he's not as stuffy as she'd thought. Or as mean. She'd expected punishment, even humiliation, but she sure never expected to fall in love with a damned lawyer.

Courtesy of a prima donna ex-wife, Marcus loathes disobedient submissives. When the club owner insists he admit an incredibly bratty trainee, he's furious. But as he comes to know Gabrielle and sees the alluring sweetness beneath the sass, he starts to fall for her.

Unfortunately, Marcus isn't the only one who believes the feisty redhead is a prize worth capturing. And in the world of the slaver, such treasure is worth a hefty fee.

EASY SUGAR!

Marcus, OMG! This story was very good. The subs stubbornness grated on my nerve a bit but overall excellent read.

Can't wait for the next production

Masters of the Shadowlands series is one of my favorite listens. The shame is that it is fiction because you fall in love with each of the characters including all of their differences. If most real people were as caring as these men and women are the world would be better.

The narrator is fantastic. I listen to 100s of books and I love his smooth bass and baritone. His differentiation between characters even maintaining it book to book make them more enjoyable and consistent. His performances of the intense sex scenes makes them feel genuine rather than seedy. Any woman who is interested in these books and lifestyle would readily be part of the scenes he portrays.

That being said a good narrator is only as good as his material. There is a great storyline with depth and understanding in the writing. Praises to Ms. Sinclair for keeping us wanting a lot more.

I highly recommend all of the Masters books. Start at the first and you will be "submitting" to their world of loving BDSM.

There's stubbornness and there's ridiculous

overall, I liked this book. The only thing that came across as stupid is Gabby's inability to make good character judgments; especially since she is a counsler. In addition, a trained counsler also knows the importance and posses good communication skills. So many romance books construct problems in relationships because, apparently, none of these mature adults can have serious conversation with their love interest. oh well, it's a boring element in too many books so I try to block that part out and enjoy the rest of the story.

Master Marcus

Marcus's sleepy southern accent is spot on. have been a fan of Cherise Sinclairs Masters of the Shadowlands books for some time. Noah Michael Levine does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.

Make me laugh, make me cry

I enjoyed this story as much as the others. I laughed, angered, and cried as if I were there. Thank you for the experience.

suspense with suspension?

this book was an awesome combination of romance, bdsm, and suspense. With the threat of human traffickers lurking in every shadow, Gabby has to be brave AND bratty, if she wants to keep her cover. Poor Marcus realizes that something is up with her, he just wants to figure it out. when all of the cards are on the table, will they be able to look at the attraction as anything more than a lie? This story was extremely well written and multidimensional. Levine did a phenomenal job with the voices of this world. From Marcus's sexy southern drawl, to Gabby's frightened gasps, and even a New England accent on one of the FBI agents, he's mastered this art.

I adore the Masters of the Shadowlands series! Make Me, Sir is my favorite of all the books written and the narrator, Noah Michael Levine, did one heck of a job with all the characters.
