About this listen
Busted for underage drinking by Deputy Reynolds, her friend's older brother, Julie tries to convince him to look the other way as he has for past infractions. He's done indulging her or covering for her with her father, the sheriff, so she tries a new way to persuade him. Julie's methods leave Derek no doubt she'll do anything to be with him, including wear his ring and have his baby.

Julie and Derek
Quick story where Deputy always wanted party girl Julie and she had a crush on him. When they finally get together, imagine his surprise when he discovers she is a virgin. Marie Smith did an OK job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Very short, straight to the point light romance.
I got a hold of some audiobook codes so I was able to download this one and another of this series for free. These are short reads so I thought they’d be perfect for bedtime, when I often loose lots of details about a fantasy story.
If you’re interested in these kind of short stories, with this series you have to get in a light-hearted “I would rather read about fuzzy feelings and sweet romance instead of how it’s done in the real world” kind of mood.
These are not very realistic as in getting to know each other and taking time to enjoy eachother first. The goal with these books seems to be getting knocked-up as soon as possible. The main character do know eachother for a long way so it’s not awkward but still a bit unrealistic and naive in my opinion.
But these stories are maybe meant to cut to the core of the storyline and that’s basically how the couple of the book got together.
Overly romanticised, like wishful thinking by a kid or some teenagers even, hence the unrealistic part because the man is older and should know better.
But once in the right mood, it’s an enjoyable read and I don’t regret reading/listening to this one but in all honesty am glad it didn’t cost me a audiobook credit because than I’d be really disappointed.
So, the right mindset. Lighthearted romance.

Spice it up
The story was fine. Same as first one. Wish was longer than is. For quick read though could have added some spice.
