Publisher's summary

The next novel in Kristen Ashley's sizzling Colorado Mountain series introduces a new electrifying relationship that turns Carnal, Colorado into a hotbed of action, romance, and suspense.

An old flame rekindled . . .

Zara Cinders always knew Ham Reece was the one, but he wasn't interested in settling down. When she found someone who was, Ham walked out of her life. Three years later, Zara's lost her business, her marriage, and she's barely getting by in a tiny apartment on the wrong side of the tracks. As soon as Ham hears about Zara's plight, he's on her doorstep offering her a lifeline. Now, it will take every ounce of will power she possesses to resist all that he offers.

Ham was always a traveling man, never one to settle down in one town, with one woman, for more time than absolutely necessary. But Ham's faced his own demons, and he's learned a lot. About himself, and about the life he knows he's meant to live. So when he hears that Zara's having a rough time, he wants to be the one to help. In fact, he wants to do more than that for Zara. A lot more. But first, he must prove to Zara that he's a changed man.

Book 5

This is my 6th CO mtn series book, accidentally read 1 out of order, and I hate to say I was disappointed. I love this series and its ridiculously bossy alpha males. but something about the start of this book put me off and I couldn't seem to shake it.

That being said I am glad I listened to it, still love this series, love the author and really enjoy the narrator.

Great Book

I really enjoy this series. The narrator is great. This book had a good storyline and I like that you know some of the characters already.

Another winner in this series!

This is another 5 star book in this series. Not all in the Colorado series have been 5 stars. Loved "The Gamble", "Breathe", and now "Jagged" is also wonderful.
Just for anyone's information, Sweet Dreams wasn't top notch and Lady Luck was pretty good.
Jagged was a great story along with as always perfection narration by Emma Taylor. I loved the twisting romance between Ham and Zara.
Zara's issues kept mounting throughout the story and loved how they all came around and how this story ended. You won't be disappointed and it's worth a credit.
I hope the next one in this series is as good as this one.

Understanding Ham

Zara is a tough little nut but all the abuse didn't ruin her so her love for Ham helped her understand him better than most. He brought her through some very painful times. She did the same for him when he let her in.

Keep them coming, Kristen!

I continue to enjoy these romances. No matter how corny it sounds, I still like to think that "Love conquers all".

The One For Her

A story that really pulls on the heartstrings. Family is chosen for Zara and Ham, not the family that Zara was stuck with but life can be better when her man decides life is better with her. Narrator is wonderful, brings all of those in Nawbone alive and this town of wonderful people dear to my heart.

Another good love story by Kristen Ashley.

Found this to be one of my favorites from the Colorado Series.....partially because I really liked both Zara and Ham, but also because it included Nina from "Gamble" whom I really loved. This author seems to be so versatile and creative, with all her different series, almost as if she has a team of K.A. writing for her !!! Saying that, I must add that basically most of the stories have similar outlines....but the characters do have their personalities.
I am glad that Ham and Zara get their lives together. The Narrator is great, throughout the series.
