About this listen

I don’t do romance. I don’t do love. I certainly don’t do relationships. Women are attracted to my power and money and I like a nice ass and a pretty smile. It’s a fair exchange—a business deal for pleasure.

Meeting Beth Harrison in the first class cabin of my flight from Chicago to London throws me for a loop and everything I know about myself and women goes out the window.

I’m usually good at reading people, situations, the markets. I know instantly if I can trust someone or if they’re lying. But Beth is contradictory and confounding I don’t know which way is up.

She’s sweet but so much more, she makes my knees weak and mouth dry. She’s confident but so vulnerable, I want to wrap her up and protect her from the world.

We spend the night together and then just disappears, leaving me with my pants around my ankles, wondering which day of the week it is. If I ever see her again I don’t know if I’ll scream at her, strip her naked or fall in love.

Thank goodness I live in Chicago and she lives in London and we’ll never see each other again, right?

A stand-alone, full length novel with no cliffhanger.

Wealthy, sexy man, Dylan, seated in first class with Beth one row away. She's not having any of it after hearing about his reputation. With that, Dylan sets his eyes on her. She's a recovering alcoholic, and hasn't had sex in a LONG time. When their plane is laid over for the night, Sebastian York (I mean Dylan) knows how to say and do sexy right! Dirty talking, romance, low drama and worth the credit.

Heated and

I give the Narrators 10 stars if possible. There isn't a better pair.
The author did a a great job of almost everything in this story.
It was fun, sexy, very hot scenes and I really enjoyed listening and wondered would happen next. It wasn't a new type of romance at all. In fact this is a story that has been told a million times, but I liked it anyway.
No Spoilers here....
Then the ending comes and of course they hit that brick wall. The reason why they hit that huge bump in the relationship is SO STUPID!!. I kept saying "Are you kidding me?"
It almost ruined the book for me. This handsome, smart business man can't be that stupid???
The Author could have thought of something, anything else. 🙄

This was almost a 5 star book

I Absolutely loved Beth & Dylan. Talk about chemistry!! I couldn't get enough. I listened to this book on audio & the narrator's were AMAZING!!

I need more !! Must have more!!

Alcoholism is an evil monster. The answer is strength and, in this case, cake. I like this already. Stress and discomfort come knocking in the form of a man, she turns to cake.

I know, it seems like an unlikely premise, but keep reading.

Having overcome alcoholism by learning tools of stress management, mainly baking cake, Beth's dream of a TV show about her baking is within reach. Dylan is on a flight from London with her and sparks fly.

It is a cleverly told story of love, denial, pain, etc., but with likable characters.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, two of my favs, narrate perfectly. I confess I enjoy their voices so much, I may be slightly stilted about some books and buy them just because they are narrating.

But wait, this is a fun book. An easy listen. Just add cake.

Bay + Arndt + York - Give me more!

What was planned as one night, turns into always and forever. we all have vices and when we have mastered a weakness we avoid what could trigger a relapse. This is an intensely emotional story, two people who are learning trust and relationships take time. The story pulls you in and the narrator's definitely help to bring this couples struggles and love to life.

Lust to Love
