About this listen

I fell in love with a boy a long time ago. I was only a small girl. Scared and frightened, I was taken from my home and held against my will. His father hurt me, but he protected me and kept me safe as best he could. Until I left him. I ran the first chance I got, and even though I knew he wasn't behind me, I didn't stop. The branches lashed out at me, punishing me for leaving him in the hands of a monster. I've never felt such guilt in my life.

Although I survived, the boy was never found. I prayed for him to be safe. I dreamed he'd be all right and come back to me. Even as a young girl I knew I loved him, but I betrayed him. Twenty years later, all my wishes came true. But the boy came back a man. With a grip strong enough to keep me close and a look in his eyes that warned me to never dare leave him again. I was his to keep after all. Twenty years after leaving one hell, I entered another. Our tale was only just getting started. It's dark and twisted.

But that doesn't make it any less of what it is. A love story. Our love story.

Wow

This story wow. This is a cruel world, and there are so many bad things that can happen. To read of the troubles of John and robin from the beginning to end just mind blowing. Personally I think a great book always has a twist and one you figure out the twist of this story your mind is blown. But it is great that even with the mind blowing hardship between our characters it is a great love story that anyone would fall for. Such a great book!!

Hmmm

Not sure if I just watch too many crime shows or what, but seen this coming a mile a way. With that being said, I really did enjoy this book. Great narration.

Maybe it's just me?

I LOVE Willow Winters books. This was honestly the first, I absolutely didn't care for. I can't even pinpoint what the issue was, story was too rushed maybe, as someone else said I saw the twist coming in like 5 min, I did not have a connection though with the characters. Narrators were ok bit over the top. I was really disappointed in this one.

Surprisingly Good Twist on Love Story!

This was a Different Love Triangle then I have ever read. It was Perfrect mix of Suspense and Sweet! a little Confussing at first but if you stick with it till the end It will all come together and be So worth the credit. The two male character's have an inner Battle between the connection and loyalty they have for each other and their Love for the Heroine. The Heroine's Love for the 2 men and her strength to keep them both in her life is awe inspiring.

Heavy Duty!!!!

Whoa!! Forget Me Not by Willow Winters was a really dark, deep read. This isn't your light happy go lucky love story, but there is a HEA, thank goodness!. Definitely a deep dark pool of pain and angst. But, it's really good, and has some definite twists that you'll likely start to guess, but just won't be positive until the end! New narrators for me, Erin Macguire and Christian Rummel, but they did a good job with some difficult subject matter.

Fascinating story!💜

This story was a pleasant surprise. I always expected it to be another great Willow Winters story but I never expected all the twists & turns in this dark romance. So much despair as well as heart wrenching moments and yet a surprising love story that I didn’t see coming.
The narration was beyond stellar. Both narrators performed brilliantly.
This is book 1 with an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this book.

Love over hate

This is a gripping story about the power of love between two people. The narrators brought the true emotions to life in devastating detail. My heart ached for these tortured souls and couldn’t stop listening. I finished sit in one day.

Amazing!

Enthralling, unexpected, captivating! This story draws you in and doesn’t let go! Ms. Winters gives your mind a thorough work out as you follow the story back and forth through time. The suspense as you work the puzzle pieces is all consuming. The book was so satisfying that as soon as I finished, I wanted to immediately read it again! This differed from any book I’ve read to date. Bravo Willow Winters!!!

Dark, Romantic and Psychologically Stimulating

3.5 stars! This romance is dark and deals with subjects related to kidnapping and childhood trauma. I recommend checking trigger warnings before reading.

I was very impressed with how psychological issues were addressed in this novel and while I figured out the twist early on, it only added to my enjoyment of the story. Narrated by Erin Maguire and Christian Rummel, this story had just enough darkness before the HEA that I wasn't angsty or uncomfortable. I enjoyed his book and recommend it to readers who enjoy characters with traumatic pasts.
