This book tugs at you heartstrings with the sadness of loss but the balance of love. The narration was great. The storyline leaves you wanting more.

But could have been great if the details were elaborated just a little more....Love they gave prospective from both characters point of view threw out the whole story.

I loved both books; however, could of easily been only one. There is no need for it to have two book with 4 hours each. I love both books. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that the narrator also did the male character voice. If this would of had a males voice it would have been perfect.

I am writing this review based on Book 1 and 2 together

I really enjoyed this book. I loved reading a different twist on the millionaire meets the naive virgin story that has been told many times. I found myself really excited to see what happens next.

I loved that it wasn't an instalove story. Even thought it takes place over a few months the author showed the time passing so it wasn't always feeling like one day immediately after another.

I loved that the reaction to the "secret" was reasonable and not blown over the top and I loved that the resolve was also reasonable and didn't consist of either of them loosing themselves or doing something they didn't want to do.

Now for what I DON'T love...

I have a pet peeve with books that are two short novellas that should have just been one book. Why are we doing this?? It seems to be a trend that I'm seeing now and it is irritating. I don't feel like this book should have taken up TWO of my audible credits and I don't think I would have wanted to pay the almost $30 I would have had to pay for both books. I would love for someone to explain why this is being done outside of making more money for what should be one book.

Second the narrator had a great female voice and did great with the female parts, however I really wish she had a different tone for the male voice and would commit to it each time. There were times where I would have to pause the audio to do something else and then I would come back mid chapter and have to try to figure out who was speaking between the two main characters. I like when I can vision the male based on the voice and the character the author was writing should not have had a voice so feminine.

This could have been a 5 star book for me if not for these two things.

Great Story Line But...

Wow just wow. I don’t know how I expected this 2nd book to go but this story blew me away. The love that Colton has for Sophie is beautiful. What started out as a business agreement blossomed into something so beautiful. Then throw in some real-life situations that will bring you to tears and the way Colton tends to Sophie will melt your heart.
I also purchased the audio version because I love to listen along and read at the same time. Ava Erickson is a new voice to me and this is the second audio version of hers that I’ve listen to and I really enjoyed her.

This story is the second part of a duet and a part of four part series overall.

Colton and Sophie are beautiful together and perfect for each other. He helps bring her to life and she helps bring him out of his shell.

Beware while this book is absolutely beautiful it’s an ugly cry book. (But worth it!)

This story could've been the typical millionaire meets virgin but its so much better. It begins with the forbidden but twists into more as things develop between Colton and Sophie. This second book picks up the pace. Now with much of their back stories revealed, the book progresses into steamier moments and there's beauty between people who allowed their relationship to develop slowly and honestly. They're absolutely charming. Loved it!

Warning: Be ready to begin the next book right away.
