About this listen

With the paparazzi hot on her heels, Mandy Bettencourt is desperate for somewhere to hide, and her best friend has just the place.

It’s perfect. No Internet. No phone. A deep bathtub she’s busy soaking in when he shows up.

Her best friend’s brother, Dante Crowne. Rich as a cardinal sin and handsome enough to piss off the devil. A man with a brooding, no-nonsense attitude and a reputation for unforgettable bedroom games.

Mandy got an early taste of them in high school - for seven minutes in a closet. She can tell you, the rumors are all true.

Dante knows he’s got a reputation for a lot of things, including a love of solitude.

But there’s a beautiful socialite in his bathtub, and the memory of those seven minutes isn’t inspiring him to kick her out.

So he offers her a deal.

If she wants to stay, she has to work.

If she makes a mistake, she’s corrected with pink hand marks on her backside.

That’s the deal.

Beg for it or leave it.

He’s surprised when she agrees, and he’s even more surprised when she likes the punishment.

The most shocking thing, though, is how much he’s starting to like her.

They can’t stay in paradise forever.

Los Angeles awaits.

But an old nemesis sets his sights on tearing them apart, and Dante may be the one left begging.

Crowne Rules is a complete standalone. You don’t have to listen to any of the Crowne Brothers books to pick this up, but you might want to once you’re done with Dante.

CD does it again.

As I make my way through the Crowne Brothers books - I like each brother a little more. Dante was definitely a force to enjoy. This was also my first time listening to this male narrator, and it won’t be the last. Christian Fox is the perfect Dante and Emma Wilder never disappoints. I also have never met a CD Reiss book I didn’t love. On to the next Crowne Brother.

Liam, Colton and Lyric

well we know more. I would love to know if Liam finds love again? Will Colton grow up? Will Lyric stop being so sinacle?

Crowne Rules by CD REISS

What a great read. I loved it, but t then I loved all of Ms. Reiss’s books. Such young love that took years to form and when it did I was only wishing it were me who found the prefect man. The narrators Emma Wilder and Christian Fox were perfect. I’ve listened to many of their narrations and this one was superb together, plus most of my library is with Christian Fox’s narration. That voice....sigh.🥃

This Crowne is in Charge

Dante the lone brother of the Crowne boy's finds hos match. when Logan sent Mandy to his parent's house that was off the grid only to find out that Dante was there I had a feeling that these two would end up together.
Dantes story is really quite sad once it is finally told and once he finally accepts what happened when he was 16 he's able to open his heart up to Mandy.
Mandy has always been around the Crowne family with Logan being her best friend. She unfortunately has allowed the wrong men into her life and ends up the fodder for a tabloid story. This is the reason she needed to get away and to be off the grid.
I loved their story and the fact that you didn't have to read the previous Crowne books to know what was going on really helped.
Christian Fox and Emma Wilder did and amazing job narrating these characters.

Oh so good on every level! 5 Huge Stars!

If I thought I had enjoyed the previous Crowne books of the series, this one might have just made me fall for the entire world, characters and stories that much harder. CD Reiss is such as force! Her writing is precise, emotional yet viscerally truthful. She manages to convey feelings and thoughts beyond just a story with a conflict... She weaves in her love for Los Angeles, her humanity and her sense of humor in a way that makes us, the listener, feel like we are part of the story. I am a gust of air within a scene and it's quite powerful. The casting was really spot on! Having Christian Fox be Dante Crowne was like if 2020 finally gave us something to cheer for. The man has such a way with witty , domineering and cocky banter... It's pure gold! Emma Wilder gives one of her best performances IMO. She took a character with flaws and insecurities and she managed to make Mandy more than just an L.A. socialite or a Cali cliché. I think the narration elevated the character's substance by giving her strength and the journey of accepting who she was, is enough. I really loved this story and it's definitely worth the credit! BRAVO!!!

Dante did not disappoint!

CD Reiss had nailed it yet again! I had been waiting for this installation after Logan's story and it did not disappoint. Dante was more demanding than the prior Crowne brother's which made him deliciously perfect. I really enjoyed Mandy's story and watching her move on from the heartbreak that her prior affair had left her in. Dante's baggage was quickly wrapped up. I think the only thing I missed was momma Crowne's tingle that she gets in the prior two books. Too bad there isnt more Crowne story coming after this one, however a book about these 3 couples on a family vacation together would be fun to read. ;)

H🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥T!!!!

There's a story in this I swear but the hot steamy parts overshadow everything else lol. NOT complaining btw 😏 JK, there is a story and a developing relationship that has to get past many walls on both fronts. I did enjoy their shared past too. ❤ I love me a stoic broody dom.

Breathe

It’s a great story to follow the Crown brothers and their love stories. I love how Mandy conquers fears and falls into love.
I didn’t enjoy the reader. She was very breath-y. You could tell she was trying to sound sexy but some of the time she spoke as almost a whisper.

Love!!!

Couldn't wait to read about Dante. I really enjoyed this story. I was happy that they both got their happy ending.

My only issue was the female narrator. Wasnt terribly keen on her voice as a sub, but Christian Fox ... now there's a voice that I'd get on my knees for ... wait ... did I just say that? 🤭

Overall, great story. Cant wait to hear the other siblings' stories.

Beg...

When Mandy Bettencourt finds herself embroiled in a media frenzy after her long affair with the husband of a beloved actress is made public, she desperately needs a place to hide. She's being vilified as the "home wrecker" but, as usual, the media doesn't know all the sides of the story. Her good friend offers the use of their family's vacation cabin in Cambria. It's secluded, basically off-the-grid and she can hide out there until things cool down in LA. What she wasn't expecting was that her friend's brother would be using the cabin too.
Dante Crowne wanted to spend time in reclusion at their house to sort out some problems that have been haunting him since his teenage years. The last thing he needed was to find "Amanda" there. She's always fascinated him but he can't afford the distraction... unless she pays a price if she really wants to stay: total obedience.
This book was OK for me until I got to the epilogue and then I completely fell in love with Dante and Mandy. Both of them get to the Cambria house with serious issues to deal with and I wanted more backstory for both of them (not getting into more because spoilers).
There's a heavy emphasis own their sexual chemistry and if you don't like a little degradation kink added to the spice. you'll cringe a little at some points like I did (NO kink shaming - to each their own and Mandy LOVED IT, y'all!). Just letting you know.
Like I said, the epilogue sealed the deal for me.... and the narration.
Narration: Sweet Baby Jay Zoos, I wish him all the best in his endeavors but an angel lost their wings the day Christian Fox decided to retire from narration. Sad sad day - the man is narration god. Mandy is narrated by the lovely Emma Wilder, who's perfect as always.
Possible triggers: mentions of an illicit underage affair
