About this listen

A billionaire, his two closest friends, and the offer of a lifetime. I signed up to be a surrogate to earn some extra cash.

I never thought I'd be hired by someone like him.

Single.

Swoony.

A billionaire playboy.

At twenty-eight, Pierce Benning is the youngest self-made billionaire in the world.

Tall, dark, and with more irresistible charm than money can buy.

But there’s just one sultry catch to his surrogacy offer:

He wants the child to be conceived naturally.

Pierce’s two closest confidants are also involved to a surprising degree.

Andrew Foster, the boyishly-handsome valet who sees to my every need and eventually becomes my best friend on the yacht.

Tristan Lowe, Pierce’s English personal assistant whose careful touch and rare compliments ignite new curiosities inside of me.

When I find out how the two of them play into this whole surrogacy thing?

It changes how I think about everything.

As the months drag on, will I eventually fulfill my contract and conceive this billionaire’s child?

Or will this unorthodox agreement blow up in our faces?

BABY FOR THE BILLIONAIRE is an extra spicy reverse harem romance. There’s no cheating, no cliffhangers—and a guaranteed HEA!

Very good escapist reverse-harem romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙🩷💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌍
Character development: 🙂🙁😋🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Melinda Norris - she got fired from a job where she had done most of the work, right before her shares would have vested. She decided to become a surrogate parent to make extra money to start her own digital marketing company and put her old bosses out of business. She did not know much about the couple she was meeting but knew that they wanted to use her eggs and she would get more money for that. Though it meant that the baby would be part of her and not just because she carried it.

The Heroes:
Pierce Benning - he is a billionaire bachelor, well known in the city as a playboy and one of the youngest self-made billionaires.
Andrew Foster - he is Mr. Benning’s valet. They had been friends for years. He was laid back and had a calming demeanor.
Tristan Lowe - he is the personal assistant for Mr. Benning; he has a proper English accent and is always well put together. He has known Pierce since they were roommates in college.

The Story: Melinda goes to the address she has to meet the perspective parents and is a bit worried when she sees she is parked in front of a warehouse by the docks. She meets Andrew, who seems likable, so she follows him to the helicopter that would take them to the yacht. She had to sign a non-disclosure agreement right away after meeting Mr. Benning’s assistant. After that she finally met Pierce, and she wasn’t impressed since he reminded her of her former bosses, the two Bob’s.

Melinda reads the surrogacy contract and was pleasantly surprised at how much she would be paid but was a bit wary when Pierce let it be known that he had gotten her information from the surrogacy company before she had even finalized her enrollment. She was even more surprised when he told her about a second contract, a more unorthodox contract, in which he detailed how he wanted to make a baby the old-fashioned way.

Pierce was wary of a failed surrogacy, he said he doesn’t want his child’s life to begin artificially. Though after Pierce told her the many reasons he wanted her to be his surrogate, including the fact that she graduated from Brown, played a bunch of sports in high school, and her health background, not to mention the amount of money he was willing to pay, she reluctantly agreed.

I liked the escapism of this one. I mean who wouldn’t want to spend six months on a mega yacht, traveling to exotic places like a private island, trying to get pregnant by one of three handsome men. If only there wasn’t a contract to give up your own flesh and blood at the end of it. Though this is a romance novel so I was pretty safe in assuming that wouldn’t happen. One thing I didn’t like about this book was that when Melinda took Pierce to her sister’s wedding, she upstaged the bride quite a bit without thinking. She blamed it on the fact that being around all that money had changed her. I think that it was just a matter of doing something without thinking, not that she had changed. And what Pierce did afterwards nearly ruined the book for me. I was planning on giving this book 5 stars until then. Though of course, it still turned out all right.

I love that Cassie Cole’s books are stand-alone’s. I loved in this book where Andrew and Melinda read each other’s favorite books and Melinda’s is ACOTAR and he didn’t like it. He thought the sex was way too graphic for a book that is touted as for young adults. When Melinda says it gets better in the next book, he goes on about why everything has to be a series nowadays, why can’t a book just be a book? I say that same thing all the time, so I loved it.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view and narrated in dual narration by Ramona Radcliffe and Julio Maxwell. Ramona Radcliffe has a nice voice and is very expressive. She also sounds about the age Melinda would be. Julio Maxwell has a decent voice, though I like a deeper voice for my romantic heroes. He does an awful accent for Andrew. I was not sure if it was supposed to be an English accent or just a haughty wealthy person accent. Either way, if he had used that accent for all three men, I might have stopped listening right away, but I got used to it and it stopped bothering me after a bit.
